Darul Arqam School

The 12th Annual Darul Arqam Science Fair will be held Dec 8th-10th. Parents please check your Orbund emails for science fair time line and rubric. Follow the guidelines provided. Students will be given only 3 DAYS TO MAKE UP the work if due date is passed. After 3 days students will be given ZERO. Science Fair is for 4th thru 8th grade students. The Grade book and proposal constitutes 40% of final grade. Science Fair Display and Presentation represent 60% of the final grade.

DCA-DISTRICT COMMON ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE
The 2nd DCA EXAM will be from December 13th– 16th for all 3rd thru 11th grade students.

We have many parents who have not paid for December tuition.  If you have not paid, please do so by December 10th. There will be a $10.00 late fee after the10th. Thank you to all those parents who always pay promptly.

BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
Darul Arqam Southeast will be hosting The Winter Annual Basketball Tournament on Friday Dec. 9th from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for grades 3rd-6th.  Parents are welcome to attend the tournament. Tournament grade times will be Friday 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be sold, so if you like please give your child additional money.

FRIDAY LUNCH
The school will be selling pizza on Friday, December 9th for $1.00 per slice.  Please send your money to the office no later than Thurs., December 8th.  Orders will not be accepted after Thurs.

SCIENCE FAIR
The preliminary round for the Science Fair is on December 8th and 9th. On Dec. 8th 4th and 5th grade will be presenting, and ONLY the 6th graders who are going to the Basketball tournament on Friday. ONLY THE STUDENTS PRESENTING ON THE 8TH NEED TO BRING THEIR POSTERS/PROJECTS.  On Dec 9th the 6th graders who  are not participating in the basketball tournament  will present along with the 7th and 8th graders. NO NAMES ON POSTER BOARDS

The school will be closed for winter break starting Mon., Dec. 19th and resuming on Tues Jan. 3rd.

IMPORTANT REMINDER
We are requesting all parents/ stakeholders to please drive very slowly on the school zone area/campus ground, and please park appropriately. Please DO NOT use CELL phones while on school grounds. Parents need to be very careful when parking and leaving school grounds.

WINTER JACKETS
Winter is approaching and we would like to remind parents that when you go to purchase a jacket or sweater for your child, it must be white or navy blue in color and without any emblems.  School approved jackets/sweaters are available on the school's website through Land's End. Target and Wal-Mart also have school approved jackets.
