New Uniform Dress Code
While it seems like the summer break has just started we will be back for the fall semester before you know it. InshaAllaah this year we anticipate many great changes at Darul Arqam North that we are all very excited about. Enforcing a more disciplined and uniformed dress code is one of the foremost changes that students and parents will experience. Studies show that students feel better about themselves and have a more positive attitude towards school when they have to adhere to a uniform dress code. It eliminates the pressure of keeping up with the latest trends and fashion among their peers. Consequentially, more focus is on student learning and academic achievement...which is the primary goal of their educational experience.
Parents should order their children’s uniforms through Land’s End School Uniforms. You can access information about our school’s dress code through their website at www.landsend.com/school. After doing so please follow these easy steps:
1. Click here to download our oficial dress code options for the Landsend website.
2. Once you have downloaded the PDF you can either order online or print the forms and go to your nearest Sears department store.
3. Uniforms can be ordered in the store there or purchased directly from the store ONLY if they have the items in stock that have been selected for our dress code. NOTE: Please use our Preferred School Number : 900136474 when making any uniform purchases at www.landsend.com
We look forward to a successful 2010-2011 school year and hope that these particular measures will aid us in that success.
Respectfully,

Darul Arqam North on Par With Texas "Exemplary" Schools
According to the Texas Education Agency (TEA) Commissioner's Final Decisions for Standard Procedures for 2009 and Beyond and in accordance with the Texas Accountability System, student achievement levels at Darul Arqam North Campus rank it amongst public schools that earn the "Exemplary School" distinction.
Campuses that qualify for the TEA's highest standards rating, must have a student body (grades 3-11th) in which 90% or greater are meeting the academic standard of proficiency in each of the Reading/ELA, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Writing categories of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS).
Congratulations to Darul Arqam students and their teachers who continue to strive for academic excellence.
